Our favorite Disney Hotel: Why we love Disney Sequoia Lodge

Every Disney fan has a “home” hotel, and for us, it is the Sequoia Lodge. This hotel is inspired by the great lodges of the American National Parks, like Yellowstone or Yosemite. It is surrounded by over 500 trees, including giant Redwoods and Sequoias, which makes it feel like an escape from the busy theme park world.

The reason it is our favorite is the Redwood Bar and Lounge. In the center of the lounge is a massive stone fireplace where a real wood fire is lit during the colder months. After a day of exploring the parks in March, there is nothing better than sitting on a big leather sofa with a hot chocolate while the fire crackles in front of you. It is the most relaxing atmosphere in the entire resort.

The rooms are themed with subtle touches of Bambi, which is charming without being overwhelming. It is also important to note that Sequoia Lodge is scheduled for a big refurbishment in 2026. This means that if you visit during the transition, you might be one of the first to see the new look, or you might find some of the best “construction deals” of the year. It strikes the perfect balance between nature, Disney magic, and comfort.

The hidden perks of staying in an official Disney hotel
